PIER 2 BERTH 2
Pier 2, Berth 2 is a 1,000 ft long deep water berth providing cruise ship passenger access to the City of Portland through the Ocean Gateway Facility. Originating near the Terminal Building at the head of the 600 ft long pier, (Pier 2), Pier 2 Berth 2 consists of piers, breasting dolphins, mooring dolphins, and a 5,600 sq ft floating dock interconnected by a series of passenger gangways and catwalks. Passengers disembarking from cruise ships will enter onto the large floating dock which is located roughly at the mid-point of the berth. They will then proceed through a series of passenger gangways to Pier 2 at the first floor level (south entrance) of the recently constructed Terminal Building. The Terminal Building houses US Customs and Boarder Patrol facilities for processing passengers arriving from international ports. The berth includes four 8-ft wide passenger gangways, four breasting dolphins, two piers, two mooring dolphins, a pile secured float, and four catwalks to provide access for line-handlers between these structures. A lighting system has been provided along the full length of the berth to allow for night time passenger and line-handler operations. Let me know if you have any questions.
